The Kentucky Agricultural and Commercial Trade Office (KACTO) located in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico was established in 1996. KACTO was the result of a partnership between the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development and the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. Since then, the main mission of KACTO is to promote exports of Kentucky manufactured goods, services and agricultural products throughout Mexico.
The Mexico office works to stimulate demand and increase the awareness of Kentucky’s high quality products and services developing contacts in Mexico in different business areas. interested in investment, joint venture or purchasing relationships with Kentucky companies which will contribute to increased exports to Mexico.
During the time the Mexico office has been opened it has assisted over 100 Kentucky companies, agencies, universities, livestock producers and farmers on a yearly basis. The extent of our services and or functions vary from developing market research reports, coordinating farm visits, participating in trade shows, providing translation services, import logistical etc. In short the Mexico office provides from the most basic import or Mexico business development information to complex issues related to export trade for Kentucky agricultural and commercial sectors.
